Signal Isolator Solutions
Application:
Most types of industries are basically covered in industrial automation control, such as: paper and paper products industry, metal products industry, food manufacturing industry, etc. Although there are many types and differences in industry standards, the transmission signals between various devices are basically unified and standardized analog signals and digital signals. There are many complex and harsh production scenarios in various industrial environments. Transmission signals will inevitably be subject to different types of interference, resulting in signal jumps or even distortions, which in turn lead to failure of automation control and other results.
The most common scenario is that the two devices are far apart, resulting in different potentials at the ground point, and they are connected through cables to form a ground loop. The ground loop is equivalent to an antenna, which can pick up noise signals in the environment. The noise signal is superimposed on the normal signal, causing the normal signal to jitter or even be distorted. Using a signal isolator can solve the above problems.
Structure

Main Function:
The signal isolator uses electromagnetic or photoelectric isolation and is installed between two devices. It blocks the electrical connection between the devices and cuts off the ground loop, but it can ensure normal signal transmission. In addition, the port of the signal isolator has a protection circuit and a filter circuit, which can filter out most interference signals in industrial sites and increase the stability of the automation system.
Products Selection

Typical Solution
Applications in the Paper and Paper Products Industry - Use of signal isolators in electric engine frequency conversion control system.
In the papermaking and paper products industry, an important process is pulping. Pulping requires a electric engine for mechanical stirring, so this process requires the use of a electric engine frequency conversion control system. Frequency converter is a common actuator in electric engine frequency conversion control, and it is also a common source of interference. In order to ensure the reliability of frequency conversion control, a signal isolator needs to be used in the control system. In this control system, the controller sends a signal to the signal isolator. The signal isolator transmits the signal isolation to the inverter. The inverter changes the output voltage frequency according to the signal. The speed of asynchronous motor is affected by the power supply frequency, and finally achieves the purpose of controlling the electric engine speed with variable frequency. .
